1. Personal Information We Collect and Why We Collect It

"Personal Information" is information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to you. Personal Information does not include information that is publicly available, de-identified, or aggregated so that it can no longer identify you.

We collect the following categories of Personal Information, and we use each of them for the purposes described below.

Contact Details and Identifiers

Such as your name, phone number, email address, postal or service address, ZIP code, IP address, and device identifiers. We use this information to respond to your estimate and appointment requests, to schedule and manage your appointments, to communicate with you about your project and our services, to send you marketing with your consent, and to detect and prevent fraud.

Project and Service Details

Such as the flooring service you request, details about your space (for example, room type, approximate size, and timing), photos you choose to upload, and your appointment or estimate requests. We use this information to prepare your estimate, recommend appropriate products and services, and complete the work you request.

Communications With Us

Such as the contents of your calls, texts, emails, chat messages, form submissions, survey responses, and reviews. We use this information to answer your questions, provide customer service, obtain your feedback, and improve our services.

Website Usage Information

Such as your browser type and operating system, the pages you view, the website that referred you to us, how you interact with our website and advertisements, and advertising click identifiers (for example, Google and Meta click IDs). We use this information to operate, secure, and improve our website, to understand how our marketing performs, and to detect and prevent fraud.

Approximate Location

Such as the general location we infer from your IP address or the ZIP code you provide. We use this information to confirm that you are within our service area and to provide location-relevant content.

In addition to the categories above, we may collect and keep information you provide to us voluntarily that we do not regularly request — for example, information you include in your communications with us. We may also use and disclose information for any purpose if it is publicly available, de-identified, or aggregated so that it can no longer identify you.

2. How We Collect Personal Information

We collect your Personal Information in a few different ways: when you provide it to us directly, automatically through your use of the Service, and in some cases from other sources.

Information You Provide

We collect Personal Information directly from you when you:

  • Request a free estimate or in-home consultation.
  • Provide your contact information, describe your project, or upload photos of your space.
  • Verify your phone number.
  • Sign up to receive updates or communications from us.
  • Contact us by phone, text message, email, chat, or an online form.
  • Post a review or comment about our products, services, or the Service.
  • Connect with us through social media.

Information Collected Automatically

Remarkable Flooring and our vendors may use cookies, log files, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies (collectively, "Cookies") to automatically collect certain information about you when you use the Service ("Usage Information"). This may include your IP address, device identifier, browser type, and operating system; the pages you view and how long you spend on them; the website that referred you to us; and the frequency of your visits. We use Cookies to run and secure our website, to remember your preferences, to understand how our website is used, and to measure and improve our marketing. You can control Cookies as described in "Your Choices About Tracking and Communications From Us" below.

Information We Collect From Other Sources

We may receive information about you from our vendors and advertising partners — for example, when you click one of our ads on another website or platform, or when a service provider helps us verify or complete your request. To understand the choices you have regarding information collected by other companies, please review the privacy policies of the businesses you interact with.

3. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose your Personal Information consistent with this Privacy Policy, any statements we make at the point of collection, and applicable law. In general, we disclose Personal Information as follows:

  • With our vendors and service providers who help us operate our business and the Service — for example, hosting, scheduling and customer-relationship tools, communications, analytics, and payment processing — who may use your information only to provide services to us.
  • With our affiliated companies and brands.
  • To comply with the law, respond to lawful requests from public and government authorities, enforce our Terms of Service, protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property (or that of you or others), and pursue available legal remedies.
  • With our insurers and professional advisers to manage risk, obtain advice, and defend against legal claims.
  • In connection with a reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale, or other transfer of all or part of our business or assets (including in a bankruptcy or similar proceeding).

We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information

We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share it with unaffiliated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes. The analytics and advertising tools we use (described in "Advertising and Analytics" below) act on our behalf to help us understand and improve our own marketing.

4. Advertising and Analytics

We use analytics and advertising services to understand how our website is used and to measure how well our own marketing works. For example, we use Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use our website, and we use advertising services from Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to show our ads to people who may be interested in our services and to measure whether those ads are effective.

These services may use Cookies and similar technologies to collect Usage Information, and information collected by them (such as your IP address) may be transmitted to and stored on their servers in the United States or elsewhere. We honor the cookie and advertising choices you make through the consent banner on our website. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

If you interact with us on social media, or reference us using a hashtag or tag, both Remarkable Flooring and the social media platform may have access to certain information about you and your activity. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of social media platforms, and we encourage you to review their policies.

5. Your Choices About Tracking and Communications From Us

Cookies

When you first visit our website, the consent banner lets you choose whether to allow optional analytics and advertising Cookies or use essential Cookies only. We save that choice in your browser so we can honor it on later visits.

To change your choice later, clear the Cookies for this website in your browser and return to the site. The consent banner will appear again so you can make a new choice. Most browsers also let you block or delete Cookies through their settings. Please note that blocking all Cookies may prevent some features of the Service from working properly.

Your browser may let you send a "Do Not Track" signal to websites you visit. Because there is not yet a common industry standard for how to respond to these signals, we do not currently change our practices in response to them.

Email

You can unsubscribe from our marketing emails at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email we send. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send you messages related to your estimate, appointments, or requests. Unsubscribing will not affect the quality of service we provide to you.

Phone Calls

If you no longer wish to receive marketing phone calls from us, please contact us at (425) 600-9370 or william@remarkable-flooring.com and we will honor your request. Please note that we may still contact you by phone about a scheduled appointment or the services we are providing to you.

6. Text Messages

You may choose to opt in to receive text messages on the mobile phone number(s) you share with us. Once you opt in, we may send you texts about your estimate and appointments, service-area expansion updates, and to alert you if there is an issue with a request. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. You do not have to opt in to text messages to use the Service or our products, and consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase.

Remarkable Flooring will not share or sell your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in, or text-messaging consent to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

You can opt out of our text messages at any time by replying STOP to any text you receive from us, and you can reply HELP if you need assistance. If you opt out, you will not receive further marketing texts at that number. Please note that your opt out applies only to the specific phone number used.

7. How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep your Personal Information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to provide the Service, manage our relationship with you, and carry out the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or for as long as we are otherwise required or permitted to keep it under applicable law. When Personal Information is used for more than one purpose, we keep it for as long as the longest applicable purpose requires. We may also keep information as needed for legal holds, backups, or fraud prevention.

8. Security

We take commercially reasonable measures to protect Personal Information from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing it electronically is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your Personal Information.

9. Age Restrictions

The Service is not directed to persons under sixteen (16) years of age, and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under sixteen (16) through the Service. If we learn that we have received Personal Information from a person under sixteen (16), we will delete it in accordance with applicable law.

10. International Visitors

The Service is operated in the United States and directed to residents of the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your Personal Information may be transferred to, processed, stored, and used in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country. By using the Service or providing Personal Information to us, you consent to that transfer, processing, use, disclosure, and storage of your information in the United States.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, as shown by the Effective Date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we will notify you through an appropriate channel, such as an email or a notice on our website. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you may contact us by email at william@remarkable-flooring.com with "Attention: Privacy Policy" in the subject line, or by phone at (425) 600-9370.
